Enterprise Deployment Automation – Cloud/Enterprise Architecture

February 9, 2026
Architecture and automation of the enterprise deployment of a desktop application for regulated corporate environments. Before rolling out to enterprise environments with SCCM, Intune and GPO policies, the application needed a reproducible, predictable distribution architecture.
The client planned to deploy the application in regulated corporate environments, clinics, government agencies, large enterprises. These environments have strict software deployment requirements:
  • SCCM/Intune deployment requires signed packages and predictable behavior
  • GPO policies restrict network and filesystem operations
  • Compliance requirements demand traceable, automated release processes
The manual distribution worked functionally but did not scale to these environments.
The rework followed a structured methodology:
  1. Analyzing the existing distribution: inventory of the current rollout process and its target environments
  2. Deployment architecture: designing a reproducible topology including system-wide installation
  3. Automation: automating silent/unattended installations and system-context validation
  4. Release pipelines: signed packages and clean, repeatable distribution pipelines

The deployment automation covered several building blocks:
  • System-wide installation: per-machine installation with context detection for the target environment
  • Signed packages: code signing for trusted installation under the GPO policies
  • Release pipelines: automated, reproducible distribution via SCCM/Intune
  • Validation: automated checks of silent/unattended installations and system context

  • Predictable rollouts under SCCM/Intune/GPO in regulated environments
  • Signed installations and clean release pipelines
  • Enterprise-ready: application prepared for regulated environments
  • Documented deployment architecture as the basis for future rollouts

  • Deployment: SCCM, Microsoft Intune, GPO
  • Packaging: signed installation packages, system-wide installation
  • Process: release pipelines, automation, context validation
